Kazakhstan asks Russia for additional exports of gasoline
BOCHAROV RUCHEI, Sochi, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- Kazakhstan asked Russia to ensure additional supplies of gasoline, Russian oil companies support the country at commercial conditions, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Wednesday.
Recently, there has appeared a shortage of gasoline with a 92 rated octane number in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev said that the country plans to cut the share of imported gasoline to 20%, and the ministry expected the situation to stabilize in November–December.
“Yes, they’ve asked for it. My Deputy (Kirill) Molodtsov is working on the issue now, our oil companies provide support in regards to supplies of oil products at commercial conditions. They are negotiating the volumes (of exports),” Novak said.
